Submission for the 2026 Mystery Game Jam!

Ellis, a young mage  with a very particular ability, was scouted by none other than one of the most powerful mages of their time to possibly become her apprentice. However, things quickly seem to go awry when he arrives to find that every plant in her magical apothecary has had their source of magic infected. Now, in a town where a limited amount of contact with other people is ideal, Ellis must use his ability to communicate with plants to get to the bottom of this mystery.

...Just hope the infection doesn't get to him too before he figures out how to get Iris' shop back to normal and earn his place as her new apprentice. That'd be.. unfortunate.
